The 400 Trust
About the
Trust
The
Old Farnhamian Associations', together with members and staff of the College,
decided in 1978 to celebrate the 400th anniversary by establishing a Farnham
400 Trust Fund with four purposes in mind:
1.
to establish an annual or otherwise periodic lecture (to be known as "the
Farnham Lecture") for the benefit of the residents of Farnham and for the
advancement of education and learning generally on such subjects as the Trust
committee shall decide.

to collect and preserve documents and information relating to the history of

to engage in and commission research into the history of

to pay expenses for students, ex–students, staff or ex–staff of Farnham Grammar
School or Farnham College in respect of educational study approved by the
Trustees.
About the
Farnham Lectures
The
first Farnham Lecture, Talking Music, was held in 1988 and took the form of a
'conversation' between Jeffrey Tate and Alan Fluck. Subsequent lectures with
other distinguished former pupils and students amongst the speakers have been –
