Gerry Le Vey (1946-
1953) treasures the above letter, written to him by FA Morgan, when he went
into the army in 1953. The tone of the letter reveals the headmaster’s kind
nature and keen continuing interest in the welfare of his former pupils. This
was a headmaster who played a key part in the history of FGS, during his 30
years at the school, and developed a caring ethos.
