Event – the 47th

Forty three old boys went to Woodlands
Lodge Hotel for a very enjoyable lunch on 15 October 2008. Perhaps this was a unique
lunch in that an old girl strayed too close to the proceedings and was
instantly co-opted into the event. Ladies accompanying old boys have
traditionally arranged a lunch in an adjacent room and held their own parallel
event, but Christine Sturt found there were no other
ladies this year and so the old boys begged her to join them. The advancing
years of the participants has made this a fairly safe course of action –
something that might have been a bit risky 20 years ago!
